Abu Zaabal Applied Technology School

Strategic Purpose

Established in 2022, and is also referred to as AZFC Vocational School for Industrial Development. It’s a technical education school designed to develop industry-ready labor aligned with Egypt’s industrial needs.

Developed in partnership with the Ministry of Industry’s Productivity and Vocational Training Department (PVTD), the school was launched to address Egypt’s technical skills gap and help enhance the industrial sector’s global competitiveness.

Model

  • The school is designed to produce job-ready technicians for Egypt’s industrial sector, operating primarily in the chemicals and fertilizers industry.
  • It serves as a national model for technical education reform, integrating academic learning with practical training in real factory and lab settings.
  • Students are trained inside Ferchem Misr’s factories in Abu Zaabal, El Sadat, and Aswan, learning in active production environments rather than simulated workshops.
  • Polyserve Group employs the school’s graduates once they are of legal age.

Abu Zaabal Applied Technology School offers a structured 3-year post-preparatory program that blends classroom-based theoretical education with practical training components.

Students receive factory and lab training opportunities alongside their studies, with potential pathways to employment after graduation.

As part of Egypt’s broader effort to modernize technical education, the school offers a competitive alternative to general secondary education while maintaining a balance between academic structure and industry exposure.

Chemical industries and phosphate fertilizer production. The school aligns its curriculum with sector-specific skills and knowledge.

  • Minimum Accepted Score: 200 points
  • Accepted Gender: Males
  • Age: 18 years or younger (at the start of the academic year)
  • Open to students from any governorate in Egypt
  • The admission process includes a test and a personal interview.
